6 Timeless Elements of Success

I find it fascinating that the greatest blog titles have numbers in them.  The 5 Steps to ….,  The 3 Reasons Why…,  5 Keys to Winning at…   We are seeking steps to follow in order  to reach our deepest desires.   As an avid reader of books, you know those words written on pages and bound by a cool cover, LOL,  I discovered some favorites titles there as well.  ….  Keys To Success,  …Leadership…,  How to Live your Dream Life……. .  This is not a new quest we are on, rather a desire man has been seeking for decades.

The most fascinating discovery I made was in book  are over a century old.

As A Man Thinketh was written by James Allen in 1902.  Over 100 years ago he shared the power of our thoughts and how our thoughts that shape our future.

The Science of Getting Rich was written by Wallace D. Wattles in 1911.  Thinking and acting in a certain way ensured a life of success.

Think and Grow Rich was written by Napoleon Hill in 1937 after spending 25 years researching the keys to success, applying them personally and validating his findings.

For more than 100 years these Timeless Elements existed yet they still are not taught  in most schools.

WHY do you think that is?   DO WE DESIRE something other than success or the riches of life for ourselves? for our children? My desire is that you will be different than the average person for the past 100 years, you will embrace the following timeless elements I pulled straight from the Great Masters and starting applying to my life.

1)    THINK:  Everything starts with our thoughts, our state of mind.

“All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts.”  James Allen

“Thought is the only power which can produce tangible riches…” Wallace Wattles

“ Our only limitations are those we set up in our own minds.”  Napoleon Hill

What thinking is keeping you from what you really want?

 2)    VISION: Decide what you REALLY WANT.

“ The greatest achievement was, at first, and for a time, but a dream.”  Napoleon Hill

“ The vision that you glorify in your mind, the Ideal that you enthrone in your heart – this you will build your like by, this you will become.”   James Allen

“ The more clear and definite you make your picture then, and the more you dwell upon it, bringing out all its delightful details, the stronger your desire will be; and the stronger your desire, the easier it will be to hold your mind fixed upon the picture of what you want.”  Wallace Wattles

For what greater purpose will your heart’s desire, your vision serve?

3)    FAITH:  Unwavering belief you can acquire it.

“Your belief or faith is the element which determines the action of your subconscious mind. “    Napoleon Hill

“ The grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best; therefore it tends to become the best; it take the form or character of the best, and will receive the best.  Also faith is born of gratitude.  The grateful mind continually expects good things , and expectation becomes faith.”  Wallace Wattles

“ He who has conquered doubt and fear has conquered failure.”  James Allen

What belief is keeping you from doing what you know to do?

4)    RESPONSIBILITY:   You are the CEO of your life: past, present and future.

“ You have a brain and mind of your own.  Use it, and reach your own decisions.”   Napoleon Hill

“Man is the master of thought, the moulder of character, and the maker and shaper of condition, environment, and destiny.”  James Allen

“ Your thought makes all things, animate and inanimate, work to bring you what you want; but your personal activity must be such that you can rightly receive what you want when it reaches you.  You are not to take it as charity, nor to steal it; you must give every man more in use value than he gives you in cash value.”  Wallace Wattles

Whose opinion do you let steer your thoughts and your actions?

5)    ACT: Put your whole mind into present action.

“ Hold with faith and purpose the vision of yourself in the better environment, but act upon your present environment with all your heart, and with all your strength, and with all your mind. “  Wallace Wattles

“ Indecision is the seedling of fear!…Indecision crystalizes into doubt, the two blend and become fear.”  Napoleon Hill

“Men imagine that thought can be kept secret, but it cannot, it rapidly crystalizes into habit, and habit solidifies into circumstance.”  James Allen

What action will you decide to take today to create a great habit for your future?

6)    PERSISTANCE:  Continually compel yourself to think and do the right thing

“ … man is continually revolting against an effect without, while all the time he is nourishing and preserving its cause in his heart.”  James Allen

“ Use your will power to keep your mind OFF the subject of poverty, ad to keep it fixed with faith and purpose ON the vision of what you want.”   Wallace Wattles

“There are four simple steps which lead to the habit of persistence….

1) A definite purpose backed by burning desire for its fulfillment.  2) A definite plan, expressed in continuous action.  3) A mind closed tightly against all negative and discouraging influences, including negative suggestions of relative, friends, and acquaintances.   4) A friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage one to follow through with both plan and purpose.”   Napoleon Hill

What right thinking ignites you to take right action everyday?
